A Greater Manchester Police car collided with a bus after responding to a 999 call in Stockport. A liveried Skoda Scala was involved in a smash with a Bee Network bus in Offerton this morning (June 21).
The crash took place at the junction of Marple Road and Lisburne Lane at 10.23am. The front of the GMP car appears to have hit the corner of a Stockport-bound 358 bus, near to the door.
A GMP spokesperson confirmed an officer had been responding to a 999 call when the crash took place. It’s understood that no injuries have been reported following the crash.

Images from the scene show two other GMP cars responding to the crash. Traffic was blocked at the junction while officers assessed the collision, with queues building up on Marple Road. The vehicles have since been removed from the scene.
A Transport for Greater Manchester spokesperson said: “At 10:37am, we were made aware of a collision between a Bee Network bus and a police car on Marple Road in Offerton. No one was injured and the scene was stood down at 11:44am.”
