Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the M53 in the early morning of Monday, 15 June.
At around 3.25am, emergency services were called to Junction 4 at Clatterbridge following reports that a Toyota Yaris had been involved in a collision with a male pedestrian on the northbound carriageway.
Rock Ferry man jailed for stabbing his father
A man has been sentenced to more than five years in prison after stabbing his father in Wirral last year.
Andrew Roberts, 37 years, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, 19 June, after pleading guilty to Section 18 wounding with intent for the attack on his father inside a house in December last year.

Police are continuing to appeal for information following a serious collision in Moreton on Wednesday, 17 June.
At around 8.15am, Merseyside Police received a report of a collision involving two Harley Davidson motorbikes and a white Nissan van on Fender Lane. The driver of a fourth vehicle, a car, was involved but was not directly in contact with any other vehicle.
Bebington man charged with attempted rape
Detectives investigating an attempted rape in Bebington are appealing to trace potential witnesses after a man was charged.
At 3.25pm on Sunday, 14 June, officers were called by a member of the public who was reporting a concern for the safety of a woman in Bebington Cemetery on Town Lane. A man was arrested at the scene and taken to a police station for questioning.
Liscard man charged following police pursuit
Detectives have charged a man with multiple offences following an incident in Wirral earlier this month.
At around 7.50pm on Wednesday, 10 June, Merseyside Police received a report that a man was driving a car erratically on Croft Drive, Caldy. A man was detained near to Arrowe Brook Road following a pursuit.
Self-loading pistol found in Moreton
A self-loading pistol has been found hidden under a log in woods in Moreton. Merseyside Police received a report on Friday, 12 June, that a semi-automatic pistol containing a magazine, which had ammunition, was found hidden inside a black bin bag in woods near Pasture Road.
The firearm has been made safe and is in the process of being forensically recovered for examination.
Tools stolen from vans in Rock Ferry
Police in Wirral are appealing for information following thefts of tools from vans in the Rock Ferry area. On Wednesday, 10 June, a report was received of the theft of tools from a van on Bedford Road. A similar offence occurred in the early hours on Monday, 8 June in Albany Road.
Other information received indicates that further offences have taken place in the area in recent weeks and police enquiries are ongoing to establish the details.
Man arrested after large amounts of ketamine found in Moreton
An 18-year-old man has been arrested after ketamine, cannabis, and £1000 in cash was found during a warrant in Moreton on Monday, 15th June.
At around 10am, officers executed a warrant at an address in Moreton. During the search, large quantities of suspected ketamine and cannabis were seized along with £1000 in cash, tick lists, a cash counting machine, scales, and mobile phones.
Heavily pregnant cat abandoned in Wallasey
The RSPCA is appealing for information after a heavily pregnant cat was found abandoned in a cat carrier in Wallasey.
The animal welfare charity was notified after the black cat was found on the bridle path off Green Lane on Wednesday,17 June. She was found in a cat carrier, which was inside a large carrier bag.
