A woman has sadly died after emergency services descended on a park in south Manchester.
A large emergency response was scrambled to Didsbury Park off Wilmslow Road at around 6.15pm on Sunday (June 21). Police were called over ‘reports of a concern for welfare’, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said.
Several ambulance vehicles were also pictured on the scene. The air ambulance also reportedly landed amid the incident.

The GMP spokesperson said the woman, aged in her 20s, was found unresponsive. She was rushed to hospital where she sadly died.
Enquiries are now underway ‘to establish the full details’. No further details about the woman have been released at this stage.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “Officers responded to an incident at Didsbury Park, Manchester at around 6:15pm on Sunday 21 June following reports of a concern for welfare. One woman, aged in her 20s, was found unresponsive.
“She was taken to hospital where, despite best efforts of medical staff, she sadly died. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full details.”
