Bristol Sounds has announced the latest line-up addition for this year’s gig series.

Taking place at the Bristol Amphitheatre between Wednesday, June 25, to Sunday, June 29, the open-air concerts are playing host to the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, Supergrass, Olly Murs, The Fratellis and Texas.

And the latest support act for the event has today been announced as a star from TV show The Voice.

Billy Lockett will join Olly Murs as a special guest at the Harbourside venue on Sunday, June 29, with fellow TV talent Lucy Spraggan also on the bill.

Billy, who was born in Northampton, has garnered a following for his deeply emotive songwriting and powerful live performances.

So far, he’s toured with some of the UK’s most celebrated artists, including Lewis Capaldi, James Arthur (who played Bristol Sounds just last year) and Jamie Cullum.

Meanwhile, his own headline shows across the UK and Europe continue to sell out months in advance.

It comes after BristolLive reported other supporting artists among this year’s line-up, back in April.

When Kaiser Chiefs take to the stage on Thursday, June 26, they will be supported by Brighton quartet Lime Garden, whose debut album ‘One More Thing’ dropped to acclaim earlier this year. They’ll be bringing with them their fusion of disco, indie and surf rock.

Also supporting on this evening will be Morgan Harper-Jones, a Manchester-born singer compared with the likes of Joni Mitchell and Tracy Chapman.

When it’s Texas’ turn to headline on Friday, June 27, South London indie heroes Turin Brakes will be in support, fresh off of the announcement of their 10th studio album ‘Spacehopper’, which is out in May.

Joining Olly Murs on Sunday, June 29, will be fellow X Factor alumni Lucy Spraggan. Like Olly, she became known for her famed appearance on the ITV talent show back in 2012, and her return to Bristol follows the release of her latest single ‘Other Sides of the Moon’, with a new album on the way later in 2025.

More support acts for the gig series are still to be announced.

Back in February, BristolLive reported that the final headliner for Bristol Sounds had been announced as The Fratellis, who will be taking to the stage on Saturday, June 28.

Known for hits like ‘Chelsea Dagger’ and ‘Whistle for the Choir’, The Fratellis will be taking to the Harbourside venue alongside 90s icons Cast, Britpop favourites Sleeper, Welsh rap legends Goldie Lookin’ Chain, and Stereo MCs.

This day of Bristol Sounds will kick off earlier than other days this year, for an extended afternoon into an evening’s worth of live performances.
