Parklife Festival has made an announcement about when the 2027 event will take place

The sun may only just have set on this year’s event, but already organisers of Parklife Festival are already looking ahead to next year. One of the UK’s largest metropolitan festivals, it regularly draws tens of thousands to the Greater Manchester Park to hear the biggest and best music acts.
This past weekend, festival-goers enjoyed two days of back-to-back performances from the likes of Skepta, Sammy Virji, Zara Larsson, Calvin Harris and many more. There were surprise sets from Manchester acts including Aitch and Bez, plus back-to-back sunshine.
Now, as the rest of the festival season gets underway, Parklife organisers are keeping interests piqued with a major announcement. Last night the dates for 2027 were revealed on social media – marking a marked change from previous years.

Historically, the annual two-day festival has taken place in June as an end-of-term celebration for those at college and university. Usually mid-June but this year was a weekend later, meaning fans were able to bask in that early summer sun, and narrowly avoid the scorching heat wave temperatures.

However, the announcement revealed that the 2027 edition of Parklife will take place in July. Announcing early bird tickets, organisers confirmed it will take place on the weekend of July 10 and 11, 2027.
The early bird tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday, 27 June with the option of an 11-part payment plan which only requires a £20 deposit on Friday for a weekend ticket. It’s followed by ten automatic monthly payments of £14.29.
VIP tickets cost a little more, requiring a £20 deposit and ten monthly payments under £20, while Backstage (VIP+) is a £45 deposit plus ten monthly payments of £35.
In the comments of the Instagram post, a number of Parklife fans were quick to tag their friends about the date reveal and share their excitement, but one question kept cropping up: “How come July?”

The festival is a staple of the June calendar, and next year’s change to July got some fans thinking about the possible reasons why. One asked the question many of us had been thinking: “Hope this is because @oasis will be taking over in June.”
Parklife’s update prompted a similar reaction on TikTok too. Fans asked ‘why a change of dates’ with many suggesting Oasis could be playing again in June 2027.
It comes after Oasis fans desperate for news of a new tour from the reunited Manchester band were sent into a frenzy at the start of this week, after a BBC teaser showed the Oasis font and Tuesday’s date. The black and white plate, with the date “23-06-26” was used in a promo on the BBC for last night’s England game at the World Cup.
Oasis fans took it to mean something else altogether, as rumours reach fever pitch that an announcement from reunited brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher could soon be on its way.

The band returned to the stage last year with their epic Oasis Live 25 reunion tour which sold out everywhere and smashed all expectations leaving fans begging for more dates from the band. Despite all sorts of rumours of dates for the past year, they have remained completely silent on the topic of a new tour.
When football fans saw the Oasis logo beam out from the TV on Monday night (June 22) during the World Cup coverage, it made plenty to a double take. It drew comparisons to the way they originally announced the reunion tour – when dates were also flashed up at gigs in the iconic Oasis font at Blossoms headline set at Wythenshawe Park gig in August 2024.
The Manchester Evening News asked BBC sport for comment about the teaser and are awaiting a reply. However a spokesperson for Oasis themselves have taken the extraordinary step of getting in touch with the MEN with a response to the drama.
An Oasis spokesperson said: “Thank you BBC, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” Fans can take from that, what they will!”
Parklife Festival has been approached for comment on the change of dates for 2027.
