THOUSANDS of Sky TV customers have reported outages as they are unable to access shows.

More than 30,000 people have reported problems with Sky on the website Downdetector.

One customer wrote: “Mine [Sky box] says ‘you can’t watch TV at the moment due to connectivity problem’.

“But my internet is fine and the box is connected.

“Has to be [a problem] at Sky’s end.”

Another had the same issue, writing: “Mines completely gone off, can’t get on the app. Can’t do nothing.”

By 10:22pm there were 33,295 outages reported on the site.

The vast majority of complaints were over Sky’s TV service, although a small number of people also had problems with the internet service.

And some customers even reported experiencing a total blackout.

    Sky TV customers have had to take to desperate measures to watch TV this evening.

    One customer posted on X: “I’m resorting to dusting off the DVD player and watching a DVD, like I live in the 1990’s again.”

    Another wrote: “Luckily have Amazon prime on the smart TV so just putting a film on and hopefully Sky is back to normal in the morning.”

    Sky TV customers have complained of multiple outages across the country this evening.

    One customer wrote on DownDetector; “Just happened for a fourth time! I give up now.”

    Another replied: “Same here, three times and counting – make that four.”
