Fire crews worked to battle a blaze ripping through a structure in the Peckham district of London on Thursday, June 25.
X user @djjGPD captured this footage showing firefighters working to put out the flames.
In a press release, the London Fire Brigade said 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters were deployed at the commercial property on Rye Lane.
“Firefighters are working hard to bring this fire under control,” Station Commander Craig Abbott said in the statement. “At the height of the fire, a ground floor shop and a storage unit on the first floor were alight. A significant amount of smoke is being produced by the fire and local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed at this time.”
