Manchester Fire and Rescue Service remain at the scene as they battle the fire in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Roads remain shut – those living nearby are urged to keep their windows closed.
A spokesperson said: “Our crews are currently dealing with a building fire on Broughton Street, Cheetham Hill in Manchester. Nearby residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed and to avoid the area.
“Road closures are in place.”
