Liscard man who posed as taxi driver to kidnap and sexually abuse woman jailed

A man who posed as a taxi driver, kidnapped a woman and forced her to remove her clothing as he filmed her has been jailed.

Damian Watson, 36, of School Close, in Liscard, was driving his white Mercedes van when he picked up the woman in the Anfield area of Liverpool in April this year.

Armed officers make arrest following Woodchurch stabbing

A man has been arrested after a report of a stabbing in Woodchurch on Thursday, 25 June. Just after 3.40pm, Merseyside Police received a report that a man had assaulted a man in his 60’s outside a shop on Hoole Road.

A man who was treated by paramedics at the scene has now been taken to hospital with stab wounds to his shoulder and ribcage.

Officers from the Merseyside Police specialist Child Criminal and Sexual Exploitation Team (CCSET) have welcomed the sentencing of a Thames Valley man to eight years and four months for child sexual offences.

Kwame Yeboah, 30, of Drake Way in Reading, pleaded guilty to the following offences on Wednesday 22 April and was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, 24 June: Three counts of Rape of a girl under 13; One count of Sexual assault of a girl under 13.

Four-year-old girl injured after unattended vehicle rolls over her in Eastham

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a child at a car park in Eastham on Saturday, 20 June.

At around 3.50pm, Merseyside Police received a report that a four-year-old girl was injured following an unattended vehicle rolling over her in the car park of Mimosa Tea Garden on Green Lane.

Man charged with theft and burglary in Tranmere

Detectives have charged a man with vehicle crime offences following an arrest in Wirral in the early hours of Monday, 22 June.

At around 2.05am, officers were called to Sidney Road in Tranmere to reports of a suspected burglary. A man was detained and a screwdriver was seized. He was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences.

Dogs can overheat really quickly, even with a window open, and with access to water.
