Police have issued a major update after a woman was left fighting for her life following a crash in south Manchester. Emergency services were scrambled to the scene on Moseley Road in Fallowfield at around 11.30pm on Saturday (June 27).
Officers later arrested three people in connection with the collision – two men and a woman – who were taken into custody to be questioned on Sunday.
A woman, aged 22, was rushed to hospital from the scene with life-threatening injuries. She remains in hospital fighting for her life, GMP has confirmed in an update.

A man and a woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. A second man was then arrested the following morning in connection to the incident on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and causing serious injury by disqualified driving.
Greater Manchester Police have now said that all three suspects have been released on bail pending further investigations into the incident.

Pictures from the scene on Saturday night showed a cordon in place near to The Armitage Sports Centre. Officers remained stationed at the cordon with with a car seen in the centre of the road.
Investigations by the police’s Serious Collision Unit are continuing. Any witnesses or anyone with information is being urged to get in touch.
