A man is in hospital after allegedly being stabbed in Glasgow as locals report a large police presence scouring nearby woods.
Emergency services were called to Crossbank Crescent in Toryglen at around 4.55pm on Monday (June 29), and the injured man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, reports the Daily Record. No further information is available on his condition.
One man has been arrested and cops remain in the area, with locals reporting police vans on Prospecthill Circus and Toryglen Road, as well as officers standing guard on locked-down Crossbank Crescent.
An eyewitness said: “I saw officers searching inside the woods and there were police cars parked all over the scheme, with a number of cops walking around.
“They locked the place down all the way up to Rutherglen and had the police dogs out too.

“The house at Crossbank Crescent was taped off by police as soon as they arrived in the area.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.55pm on Monday, 29 June, 2026, police received a report a man had been stabbed on Crossbank Crescent, Toryglen.
“Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Officers remain in the area and enquiries to locate those responsible are ongoing.
“One man has been arrested.”
