Real Betis have made an offer to Leeds United-linked Julian Brandt. That’s according to Spanish outlet Muchodeporte who claim the player’s father visited the office of their sporting director Manu Fajardo.

They cite club sources as confirming the offer, with Brandt a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund where he has been for the last seven years.

During that time the attacking midfielder has made 307 appearances, scored 57 goals, assisted 70 more and established himself as one of the best creative players in the Bundesliga. He has also won 48 caps for Germany, albeit that last coming in 2024.

Last season the 30-year-old had 15 goal involvements in 41 games, including nine matches in the Champions League, as Borussia finished second behind Bayern Munich.

While the report suggests Real Betis are well stocked in Brandt’s position, with Isco, Giovani Lo Celso and Pablo Fornals as options, it also makes it clear Betis are keen on the veteran after they finished fifth in La Liga and qualified for next year’s Champions League.

Leeds are among several clubs linked with the former Bayer Leverkusen man, with Brandt’s ability to play as a No. 10 in a 4-2-3-1 long established.

They are also closing in on a free transfer for Harry Wilson, who will today become a free agent after his contract with Fulham expired.
