A delivery driver has said he is not returning to an area in South Bristol after a group of young boys damaged his car and stole a number of packages.
Mohammad, who is a delivery driver with Relay, said he was in the Filwood Broadway area of Knowle West when a group of more than 10 young boys stopped his car before stealing parcels.
Speaking to BristolLive, Mohammad said the road has a 20mph speed limit, but that he was only driving at 10mph as he approached the group on e-scooters, bikes, and on foot.
A number of the children “signalled him to stop” as he was passing, and he stopped in the road.
He said: “They surrounded me when I was stopped and opened my door in seconds, before I realised what was happening.
“When I stopped my car they opened the door and took 11 parcels. After this, I do not visit the BS4 area, I’m not going there any more.”

Mohammad added that his car, which is his own and not a company one used for deliveries, was badly damaged by the boys during the theft.
He said: “There are so many scratches and dents on my car because of their continuous hits.

“I’m just out here working hard to make a living and provide for my family, and having to deal with this kind of behaviour is incredibly frustrating and unfair.”
Mohammad told BristolLive that Relay told him they are investigating the matter but that he has temporarily been “terminated” and is not able to work until after the investigation.
“It’s my full-time job and now I’m unemployed until the investigation is complete,” he said.

Avon and Somerset Police said they are carrying out enquiries into the theft.
The force said a child was detained nearby and was taken home. Enquiries into the theft are ongoing, the force added.
Police added that there has been a “recent increase” in anti-social behaviour among children and young people in the Filwood Broadway area.
Officers have patrol plans in place but are also asking members of the public to report any incident and share footage they may have on anti-social behaviour.
