BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Birmingham Police announced they conducted a coordinated operation that resulted in the shutdown of an “illegally operating business.”
Police say the Special Operations Unit conducted the operation on Thursday, July 2 in the 600 Block of 9th Street North.
The operation resulted in the shutdown of what police described as an “illegally operating business,” known as both “The Man Cave” and “The Money Club.”
Multiple firearms and illegal narcotics were seized, as well as three people being arrested during the operation. The three arrested, and their charges, are:
- Marques McConico, 48: First-degree unlawful possession of marijuana
- Latonya Graham, 47: Operating a business without a license
- Vincent Lawrence, 45: Outstanding traffic warrants
According to police, multiple Special Operations Bureau units were involved, including Business Compliance; Special Enforcement Team, also known as S.E.T. and the Narcotics Unit.
