An interesting and likely informative maiden. IPANEMA BEACH and Estoublon were separated by 2l on their respective debuts at Navan last month, both finishing strongly from off the pace over an inadequate 6f.

The latter didn’t get a clear run then, so there could be precious little between them this time, the former slightly preferred. Ballydoyle introduce Italy, a son of Wootton Bassett, who has to be respected, as does the Ger Lyons’ newcomer Star Chamber, a son of Mehmas and a bit more speedily-bred than the Ballydoyle colt.

Highly tried last year, SENNA’S GIRL (nap) was just denied back in maiden company at Gowran last month when finishing with a real flourish over 7f, and upped in trip here can confirm that form with both Hopes Are High and Dahoma.

Banner Beauty would be a threat to all if reappearing in the sort of form he showed here last October for a previous yard.

A likely strong pace on here, not least from the well-drawn BRAINS, who is taken to follow up a recent C&D win off a 4lb higher mark. Bellewstown principals Rockbury Lad and Pandion Power hold strong claims and others to consider include Finsceal Annie, El Bello and Notforalongtime.

Competitive stuff. Secret World and Hurricane Helen renew their rivalry after filling the first two places at Navan last month and should be thereabouts again. Yes Oui Si, fourth in that Navan race, should get much closer on these terms.

However, the 3yo FORTUNA VERA is preferred. She caught the eye running on strongly over 7f at the Curragh last time and should relish this longer trip. Love Sonnet is out of the weights but is not discounted and Pepper Noir could go well at a price.

Champion stayer KYPRIOS continues his route to Ascot and is practically unopposed here as he attempts a third win in the last four years. Satin may be the one to chase him home.

An open race. Porsche Lad is interesting on his first start for Charles Byrnes and Tatum also makes the shortlist after a solid run at Cork last time. Crypto Cash is interesting now back on better ground, but CHOPSTICKS gets the nod on his first start for John McConnell.

He’s been in good form on the AW. He ran well at this track last year and he’s nicely drawn in stall 4.

A few intriguing runners in here, none more so than Reaching High, a first Royal runner for Willie Mullins. However, he lacks a run and has it to prove off his current mark.

Beyond Your Dreams is unexposed at this trip on the level and she is considered, as are Bear Profit, Rock Of Ireland and Raydamann. However, a chance is taken on the C&D winner BURREN SONG in first-time blinkers. He went well for this rider over this trip at the Curragh last October and he’s 3lb lower now.
