Oasis fans will see the first tantalising moments of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reuniting to talk about their comeback in the first trailer from a major new documentary film to be released in September. It has now been confirmed that the title of the Oasis documentary is Don’t Look Back in Anger in a nod to one of the band’s most iconic anthems.
The film’s teaser trailer was released on Saturday afternoon by Disney+ to the delight of fans, and is now available to download and share. The film announcement comes exactly one year since Oasis made their spine-tingling live comeback with the opening night of their Live ‘25 tour in Cardiff.
That show marked the band’s first live performance together in 16 years. The Don’t Look Back In Anger film will chart brothers Liam and Noel’s triumphant reunion tour – one of the most anticipated rock ‘n’ roll comebacks of our time.

Billed as “an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025”, it is set to capture the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world. It has previously been announced that the film will premiere in “select IMAX screens and cinemas across the world” from September 11, although no further details of locations or booking dates have yet been revealed.

The film’s unique perspective includes rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years. Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide.
The documentary comes from Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision and has been created by acclaimed Peaky Blinders writer, producer, and director Steven Knight.
It is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace and will open in select IMAX® and cinemas in September, before streaming exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S. later this year.
Steven Knight said today: “The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation.

The 47-second trailer opens with short snapshots of the highly anticipated gigs last summer, at huge venues with bustling, excited fans.
Noel can be heard saying: “I just don’t see myself on stage, with Liam, I just don’t see it.”
“It’s going to be chaos,” the star adds.

The film news comes amid a time of feverish speculation about the band’s next move together. Multiple sources have told the MEN that a 12-night residency is being planned at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in 2027, as part of a major world tour.
Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium saw the return of live music this summer after a three-year absence while works to expand the North Stand were completed.
It proved to be an epic setting for two major artists this summer, with The Weeknd and then Take That playing to tens of thousands of fans this June and July. Now, bosses are thought to be gearing up for an even bigger 2027 with the return of Oasis to play on the hallowed turf of the Blues.
The MEN has been told by a number of sources close to the club and promoters that 12 nights could be announced later this summer. It will spark one almighty scramble for fans to try and get tickets as soon as the news officially drops.
A music industry insider told the M.E.N.: “It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It’s just massive for Manchester and for the local economy.
“They could even add more dates to that as well, there’s talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth.”
