All services running between Stockport train station and Wilmslow and Macclesfield were disrupted this evening (July 4) due to a points failure, National Rail has said.
A points failure at Cheadle Hulme station meant that all lines are blocked, with trains between Stockport and Wilmslow / Macclesfield to be delayed or revised, according to the rail body.
The issue was first reported at 6pm this evening and disruption is set to last until at least 7pm. Network Rail staff are said to be en route to the site.
It was fixed by around 7.15pm.
