Death Notices

(Chris) The loved ones of Chris would like to share that sadly he passed away on the 1st of June 2026 at Heartlands Hospital after a period of ill health. He is deeply missed by his loving wife June. The service celebrating his life will be held at Yardley Crematorium on the 6th of July at 3:15pm. June has requested that donations in Chris’ memory be made to The UK Sepsis Trust and would like to thank her neighbours and community for helping support her through such a difficult time. Chris was a kind, generous and loving man whose absence will be felt by many, most of all by June. Whether it was a favour for a friend or a night in his cinema, Chris was like a father to many and adored by everyone he met. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Passed away on 19th June 2026 at Weston Hospital, aged 93 years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral at Wrington Chapel on Wednesday 15th July 2026 at 12 noon. Jack McKinley Cummings passed away peacefully on Saturday 13th June 2026 at the Saville Manor Care Home. He is deeply missed by his family and friends. Jack’s service will be held on Tuesday 14th July at Canford Crematorium 12:45pm. All are welcome, in lieu of flowers there will be a donation box at the chapel where all funds will go towards Dementia UK.

(Bud) It is with the deepest sorrow that I have to announce that on the 19th of June at 8.25pm David ‘Bud’ Flannigan passed away after a short illness, at St Peters Hospice. Where myself and our daughter Jessica were by his side. I know that he is now with our youngest daughter Kimberly and that they are both watching over our grandson Finnley. David ‘Bud’ funeral will be held on Thursday 23rd July 1.30pm at South Bristol Crematorium. Family flowers only please as there will be a donations box in aid of Bud’s supported charity The Wallace & Gromit Appeal which Bud set up in Kimberley’s name over 20 years ago.

Passed away on Tuesday 16th June aged 77 years Much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He will be sadly missed. (John) David John Jenkins, fondly known as John, died suddenly on 11th June. A wonderful, loving husband to June “Bunny”, father to Lyn and Sally, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and neighbour. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. His funeral service is at 2pm on the 14th July at the Woodlands Chapel, Westerleigh Crematorium. All are welcome. Flowers are family only however any kind donations made will go to St Peter’s Hospice.

Sadly passed away on 19 June 2026, aged 74 years. Much loved companian of the late Valerie Rivers. Dearly loved and missed by all her family and friends. A service to celebrate Eila’s life will take place at St Andrew’s Church, Banwell on Thursday 16 July at 11:00am. (Lyn) It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mum, Lyn Papworth, on 13th June 2026. Mum was fiercely independent and remained strong until the very end. She touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, strength, and unwavering spirit will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished forever. (MJ) Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on the 26th of June. Much loved Husband, Father, Grandad and Great Grandad who will be greatly missed. Wayne passed away at home surrounded by family on 28th June 2026, aged 43. A much-loved husband to Zoe, father to Olivia, son to Keith and Pauline, brother to Shuan and uncle to Noah, Jesse and Kayce. He was a great friend to many and will be greatly missed. Funeral details to follow. Forever loved, never forgotten, and always in our hearts.

Passed away on 26th March 2026. A Service will be held on Friday 17th July at St Mary’s Church, Fishponds at 3pm. All friends welcome.
