BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Crews responded to an apartment fire in Birmingham late Saturday night, July 4.
Birmingham Fire & Rescue was called to a reported fire at an apartment building in the 600 block of Valley Crest Drive around 10:46 p.m.

When they arrived, heavy fire was reported in one of the buildings.
Crews searched the scene and luckily no injuries were reported.

The fire was under control at 12:40 a.m.
Authorities said eight units in the building burned and twelve total units were impacted.
