A dozen units at a Birmingham apartment complex were damaged after a fire broke out around 11 p.m. Saturday.The Birmingham Fire & Rescue Service said it was called out to 660 Valley Crest Drive for reports of a fire.After arriving, firefighters saw heavy flames pouring out of multiple units. Primary and secondary searches of the units were clear.
