West Midlands Police has issued a major update after after a long stand off with a man hauled up in a property.
The force said a man had barricaded himself into an address on Westwood Road, in Aston, at around midnight.
Specialist police negotiators were drafted in to resolve the situation.

The incident has now been brought to a conclusion after more than 13 hours.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats with a bladed article in a private place and possession of Class A drugs.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called to Westwood Road, Perry Barr last night (8 July) after reports a man had barricaded himself in an address.
“The matter was bought to a safe conclusion.
“A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats with a bladed article in a private place and possession of Class A drugs.
“He remains in police custody.
“We want to thank the local community for their patience.”
