These are the buses you can catch after a fire at Birmingham New Street station caused major disruption today.

A fault on board a train prompted a full scale evacuation of the travel hub this morning.

It later reopened, but scores of train services were delayed or cancelled as a result.

Bus were accepting train tickets on their services.

NX West Midlands posted on X: “Rail Ticket Acceptance. National Express are accepting rail tickets on all bus services 11A/C 14, 23, 24, 45, 47, 61, 63, X20, X21, X22,18, 49, 76

“This is due to an incident at New Street Station.”

New Street station had posted on X: “Due to an onboard train fault, services to and from Birmingham New Street are temporarily suspended.

“The station has been evacuated as a precaution whilst the fire services isolate the fault We hope to get services moving again shortly

“Thank you for your patience.”

It later added: “The station has now reopened. There will be delays as services return to normal

“Check your journey and the latest travel information at @nationalrailenq.”
