In a post on X (twitter) Avon and Somerset Police warned motorists to find alternative routes following the crash.
They wrote: “Fishponds Road in Bristol is closed this evening (11 July) following a collision.
“The road is closed between the junctions of Huyton Road and Ridgeway Road while emergency services respond.
“Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.”
