‘We expect heavy traffic before and after the concerts’

Edinburgh fans have been issued advice ahead of country singer Luke Combs gigs at Murrayfield. The popular singer is coming to the capital on July 24 and 25.
Thousands are expected to flock to Murrayfield, with gates opening around 5pm. Residents have been warned of road closures, which will be in place to ‘allow the attendees ease of access’.
It’s expected traffic in and around the city centre will be busy before and after the concert.
Fans have been encouraged to avoid travelling by car and have been advised to choose active travel or public transport.

The Traffic Scotland website reads: “Luke Combs is performing for two nights at Murrayfield on the 24th and 25th of July Gates are expected to open at 5pm.
“Traffic in and around Edinburgh city centre will be busy with some road closures to allow the attendees ease of access.
“We expect heavy traffic before and after the concerts particularly on the A90, A720, M8 and M90 as well as local routes leading to and from the stadium.
“Best avoid travelling by car. Instead choose active travel or public transport.
“There is no public parking at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. There will be road closures and parking restrictions before and for 90 minutes after the concert. You are best to use the Park and Ride facilities located around the outskirts of Edinburgh. From these facilities, you can hop on a bus or tram to get to the city centre or the stadium.
