A restaurant front was left shattered after a car ploughed into the building on Monday (July 13). The Amor restaurant in Bamford, Rochdale, announced it was closed after the incident.
Pictures shared online showed the glass front of the Indian restaurant completely shattered with fire service tape used to cordon off the area following the smash at around midday.
In a statement posted on social media, the venue simply said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be closed tonight” along with a devastating picture of the damage.

The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a car crashed into the commercial building, along Martlet Avenue. The incident was then dealt with by the police. It’s understood there were no reports of injuries.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 12.15pm on Monday 13 July, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Martlet Avenue, Rochdale.
“One fire engine from Rochale station quickly attended the incident, which involved a car crashing into a commercial building. Firefighters helped make the area safe before handing the scene over to Greater Manchester Police.
“Fire crews were in attendance for about an hour.” Greater Manchester Police were also approached for statement on the incident.
