TWO PEOPLE have been rushed to hospital in Edinburgh after a car crash on Monday evening.
Police confirmed that the Barnton Avenue collision involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, which was left in a crumpled ruin.

Officers were first alerted to the incident in the Northwest at around 4:25pm on Monday evening, and were forced to close the road temporarily while the scene was investigated.
Police also confirmed that enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.25pm on Monday, 13 July, 2026, officers received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Barnton Avenue, Edinburgh.
“Two people were taken to hospital.
“The road was closed and later reopened.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
