Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, a really fun physics-based action game for the PS2, is getting an emulated PS5 and PS4 re-release next week, including with PS Plus Premium.
And now we have confirmation that the 2004 Midway effort will have a Platinum Trophy, as the trinkets have hit Sony’s servers in preparation, a few days before the title’s 21st July release date.
The gongs mostly pertain to beating all of the campaign’s bosses, but there’s actually some skill-based achievements among them, like killing two enemies with a single headshot or completing one level undetected.
You’ll also need to find all the Evil Garden Gnomes in the game, a collectible of which there are 14 in total hidden throughout the game.
It takes about 12 hours to complete Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy’s story, so you should be able to bag the Platinum in 15 hours or less.
Remember, this version of the game will be running in Sony’s emulator, so you’ll find added quality-of-life improvements, like rewind and save states, which should make progress a bit easier.
