European Commission offers investment incentives as it launches electrification and ETS revision plans
Presumably riffing off Rent-boy’s “choose life” monologue from the 1990s dark and druggy film Trainspotting, EU energy commissioner Dan Jørgensen told Europe to choose electricity over fossil fuels, green electrons over black molecules, stability over volatility and the future over the past as he announced plans to double electrification in the EU by 2040.
