A NEW indoor golf and entertainment venue is taking shape in Burntwood.

Drive In Golf at Chase Trade Park will feature five Trackman-powered golf bays which give visitors the chance to play courses from around the world through a 4k simulator.

Cllr Darren Ennis, leader of Burntwood Town Council, has visited the site to meet with company boss Nigel Bratton and hear about the investment in the facility.

It will cater for experienced golfers and complete beginners. It will also offer professional coaching, children’s parties, corporate events, team-building activities, club hire, repairs, alterations and re-gripping services.

Cllr Ennis said:

“It was brilliant to meet Nigel and get a first look around the new Drive In Golf site.

“There is a huge amount of work taking place, and it was exciting to hear about the plans and see the scale of the transformation.

“This will bring something new and different to Burntwood. It will provide another activity for residents, families and local businesses, while also attracting people into the town from the surrounding area.

“We want Burntwood to be a place where businesses feel confident investing and growing, so I am delighted to welcome Nigel and the Drive In Golf team to our town.”

The revamp of the premises is expected to be complete in six weeks.

Nigel, director of Drive In Golf, said:

“We had been searching for the right premises for some time, as we needed a site that could accommodate the golf bays and allow us to create the quality of experience we want to offer.

“Burntwood is a great town, with a strong community and an excellent location. When we found this site, we knew it was a great fit for the business and gave us the space and potential we needed.

“We are really excited about the transformation taking place and are looking forward to opening the doors and welcoming people from Burntwood and further afield.”
