More than 1,000 homes and businesses in Exeter were left without power this morning as a huge outage affected the city.
National Grid logged the power cut at just after 7am on Tuesday, July 21, with 1,022 properties affected.
“We know you’re without power,” National Grid told customers. “We were alerted at 7:12am this morning and our engineers are working to get your electricity back on as quickly as possible. We’re sorry for the disruption.”
The outage affected the Middlemoor area.
National Grid said the outage had been caused by accidental damage on its network. Power was restored by around 10.20am.
