Graham Norton has claimed that an EastEnders legend has ‘changed her name’ to compete at Eurovision 2025.

Returning to the commentary booth for the 16th time, Graham was on fine form as he delivered his signature witty comments and hilarious claims.

After struggling with his microphone at the beginning of the night, the Irish TV presenter began delivering his honest thoughts about all 26 acts competing in Basel, Switzerland.

From putting aside his harshness for UK act Remember Monday to comparing Ukraine’s act to Margaret Thatcher, Graham gave BBC viewers another night to remember.

One act who caught Graham’s eye was Denmark’s competitor Sissal, with the 30-year-old’s full name Sissal Jóhanna Norðberg.

Despite living in Copenhagen, Sissal is originally from Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands, and became the second Faroese artist to represent Denmark in the Eurovision after Reiley did so in 2023.

Performing her song Hallucanitation, Sissal had an outside chance of pulling off an upset win, with Ladbrokes giving her victory odds of 150/1 ahead of the show.

After Sissa was done signing, Graham claimed that EastEnders actress Letitia Dean ‘changed her name’ in a move away from playing Sharon Watts.

Graham jokingly added that this was Letitia’s way of ‘continuing the 40th anniversary celebrations’ after the soap hit the big milestone in February.

Those watching at home were in agreement with Graham, taking to X to point out how similar Sissal and Letitia look.
