A new 48 hour yellow heat health alert has been issued for Coventry and Warwickshire.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has triggered the alert from 9am tomorrow morning (July 24).
It remains in place until 9am on Sunday (July 26) and warns that minor impacts are likely across health and social care services due to rising temperatures.

The risk is due to the following:
- increased use of healthcare services by vulnerable people
- greater risk to life of vulnerable people
- increased potential for indoor environments to become very warm
- water‑related incidents may increase, including risks from cold‑water shock and drowning

According to the latest Met Office forecast tomorrow (July 24) is set to see highs of 27C across our area and will ‘feel warm in the light to moderate winds’.
But there may be some relief come Sunday with a chance of rain but any showers are not set to be significant.
