Emergency services were scrambled to a town centre after a man climbed up onto the roof of a high street store.
The fire service and police were called to Oldham town centre on Saturday night after the alert at the Primark store on Market Place.
Images from the scene showed fire service cherry pickers and police vehicles parked up at the scene.
The alert was put in place at around 8.35pm.
The man later came down and was taken to hospital, Greater Manchester Police confirmed in a statement on Sunday. No arrests have been made.

Police said the incident was thankfully ‘brought to a safe conclusion’ with no injuries.
In a statement, GMP said: “We were called at 8.35pm to reports of a man of a roof on Market Place in Oldham.

“Officers attended and managed to bring the man down from the roof, before he was taken to hospital. No arrests were made, and the incident was brought to a safe conclusion.”
No further information was provided and it’s not known whether the man remains in hospital on Sunday.
