And one opens this month

Two exciting new openings are set to add to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway‘s line-up of shops – and one is only weeks away.
Loungers, the West Country-based cafe bar group – which started in Bristol back in 2002 – will be opening Picaro Lounge, its latest Lounge venue, at The Mall Cribbs Causeway on Wednesday, August 19, creating around 30 new jobs.
The new Lounge will be located in the former Pizza Hut in the Mall’s Food Court, which is said to have been ‘transformed’ into a ‘warm, eclectic home from home’. It will be open all day, everyday, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, with dedicated kids’ gluten-free and vegan menus.
The venue will include games, books, colouring materials, high chairs and baby changing facilities for families, and Picaro Lounge is currently looking for book clubs, knitting groups, parent-and-baby groups, creative workshops and more to get in touch about hosting their gatherings in the brand new Lounge.
Ollie Carlton, general manager at Picaro Lounge, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to Picaro Lounge in just a few weeks. We’re already well known in these parts, so it feels fantastic to be bringing another Lounge to our home city of Bristol. We can’t wait to open the doors and become part of the community.”
Meanwhile, in a post to Facebook on Thursday, July 30, Cribbs announced that Bath & Body Works would be opening in Autumn 2026. The American retail store is known for selling products such as soaps, lotions, fragrances, candles, accessories and more.
According to a photo of the store hoardings currently in place, the new shop appears to be on the lower floor of The Mall, between Card Factory and Clarendon Fine Art, on the John Lewis side.
Signage on the unit says: “Our products are crafted to care for you, head to toe. After 35 years and a thousand signature fragrances, we’re still just getting started. Consider this your invitation to explore, play and find what’s right for you.”
Taking to the comments section beneath the post on social media, fans and shoppers were quick to share their excitement at the new announcement. One said: “A trip to Cribbs will be needed when this opens – lush candles and body mists.”
A second wrote: “Amazing! So excited! Hope they have the same good offers they do in the US!”
And a third added: “Cribbs having a massive glow up! So exciting!”
