Manx cyclist wins Isle of Man’s first Commonwealth Games gold since 2006
Manx cyclist Matt Bostock has won gold in the points race at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
He took a slender victory over Australia’s Oliver Bleddyn in the 40km race, which was the final event in the velodrome at this year’s games.
It follows up two fourth-placed finishes for Bostock earlier in the week.
The gold is the Island’s first in the Commonwealth Games since 2006, when Mark Cavendish won the scratch race in Melbourne.
