- Tyler Marche has joined Wellington-Altus Private Wealth as a senior advisor and portfolio manager after more than seven years at RBC Wealth Management. He brings a team of four with him. Marche was previously a vice-president (VP) and wealth advisor with BMO Wealth Management Canada for close to 20 years.
- Larry Green and Nolan Zucchet have joined Worldsource Wealth Management Inc. as financial advisors after nearly 30 years and six years, respectively, with Manulife Securities.
- Ian Miller has joined IG Wealth Management as VP of business development for Ontario. He was previously an advisor and VP at Mansha Plan, a multi-family office. Before that, he spent 16 years with Manulife Investment Management, serving in leadership roles in wealth management and in goals-based investing.
- Darwin Schandor has been promoted to interim head of private wealth at Nicola Wealth after joining the firm in June as head of private wealth in Western Canada. He brings more than 35 years of industry experience, including as president of Monteta, and in senior roles at National Bank and RBC.
- CIBC Private Wealth has appointed several new managing directors and regional private banking heads. The new leaders are Gary Laxon in the Western region, Mark Roccatini in Ontario and Amani Sawaya in the Eastern region. Laxon joined CIBC Private Wealth five years ago as region head, and before that held senior retail banking and private banking positions with Canadian Western Bank and Scotia Wealth Management. Roccatini was a regional head with CIBC Wealth Management and started his career with CIBC in 1990. Sawaya joined CIBC as regional head of private wealth for Quebec and has served in senior roles at HSBC and Republic National Bank of New York (Canada), with industry experience dating back to the 1980s.
- Sasha Sadr has joined Scotiabank as managing director, real estate. He previously spent 18 years with CIBC World Markets in senior investment banking positions focused on real estate and metals and mining.
- Matthew Pavey has joined Kinsted Wealth as VP of growth and strategic partnerships. He previously served in leadership roles at Invesco Canada for 16 years, including as VP and head of Western Canada. Before that, he was director of business development at Freedom 55 Financial.
