Air ambulance called and Dukinfield street closed after crash

A Tameside street has been cordoned off this afternoon following reports of a crash, with emergency services rushing to the scene.

Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield was taped off following a road traffic collision at around 1.30pm, with Greater Manchester Police responding to the incident.

It’s understood an air ambulance was present at the scene following the crash.

Eye witness reports indicate the incident happened at around 1.30pm, with emergency services staying at the scene until around 7pm.

Greater Manchester Police say they are conducting enquiries following the incident on Yew Tree Lane.

A spokesperson for GMP said: “We are currently responding to road traffic collision on Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield.

“A cordon is in place as officers conduct enquiries, and we thank people for their patience as this work is carried out.”
