West Midlands Police has issued an update following an incident which led to a large cordon surrounding a Birmingham street and an armed police call-out.
The incident saw police cordon off a large area of Erdington including Court Lane, Harcourt Road and Jerrys Lane, following an earlier police chase and arrests on Tuesday (May 13).
With the police cordon in place parents and carers with children at Oasis Academy Short Heath were told to collect their children from the Turfpits Lane side only.

In addition Year 6 children had to be collected and were not allowed to walk home alone.
A force spokesman initially said the big police response followed a ‘suspicious vehicle’ sighting and a police chase.
The vehicle was pursued and stopped in Harcourt Road, and a footchase followed with two men in their 30s arrested.
A cordon was put in place stopping traffic heading along part of Court Lane, all of Harcourt Road and part of Jerrys Lane, with armed police spotted outside a property in Harcourt Road.
West Midlands Police provided an update on Wednesday (May 14) and said two men had been arrested in connection with GBH offences.
