Thousands of holidaymakers use Jet2, the UK’s third largest airline, to travel abroad every year. Like many travel providers, Jet2 is gearing up for the summer season, when many of us will fly out on a much-needed holiday.

France, Portugal, Spain and Turkey are popular destinations for UK travellers. Jet2 regularly updates its rules and regulations for each nation it flies to, ensuring travellers have the most up-to-date information.

The Jet2 website states: “Before travelling to your destination, please check the latest entry requirements as they may differ depending on your: destination, nationality, and your travel document type. For all the latest information, please visit the FCDO website.

Below is the latest travel requirements for France, Greece Portugal, Spain and Turkey.

France

People travelling to France are not subject to any additional Foreign Office guidance or requirements, at the time of publication.

The Jet2 website states: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period.”

Greece

Like other European destinations, people going to Greece are not subject to any additional Foreign Office guidance or requirements, at the time of publication.

The Jet2 website states: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period.”

Portugal

For travel to Portugal, the Jet2 website states: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period.

“Young people under the age of 18 need a letter of authorisation with them when leaving or entering Portugal, including Madeira, without their parent or legal guardian.

“This letter must be signed by the parent or legal guardian and, in some circumstances, may need to be legally certified.

“You can download the form here and you’ll be asked to show your completed form at the airport. For more information, please visit the Portuguese government website.”

Spain

Like France and Greece, travellers heading to Spain are not subject to any additional Foreign Office guidance or requirements, at the time of publication. The Jet2 website states: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period.”

This is the same for travellers going to the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands.

Turkey

For holidaymakers heading to Turkey, the Jet2 website states: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period, and your passport must be valid for a minimum of 150 days from when you arrive.”
