Former SDLP leader Colum Eastwood has told an event at Féile an Phobail that the momentum towards Irish unity is ‘unstoppable’ – but there remains work to do to achieve it.
Mr Eastwood was taking part in the ‘Le chéile – next steps to Irish unity’ discussion at St Mary’s University College as part of the west Belfast community arts festival.

A man in his 20s was arrested for child cruelty and a number of other offences after drugs were found in a child’s bedroom in Antrim on Friday.
The search was carried out by detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force, which is made up by officers from the PSNI, National Crime Agency and HMRC.

The Donegal Bar has been packed throughout the festival, helping to create a lively atmosphere with live music and Irish dancers drawing large crowds.
