King Charles made a heart touching request to his eldest son, Prince William urging him to prioritise family over royal duties.

According to a new Channel 5 documentary, William and Catherine: Putting Family First, William’s decision to focus on family was fully supported by his father.
Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty Magazine, shared insight in the documentary, stating: ‘Charles said to William, ‘Please don’t make the mistake that I made and I want you to enjoy your family life.’
She added. ‘Charles was very insistent about this because he said, ‘ iwas so dedicated to duty, I could not make way for family life in the way that I should have done and that’s what William did.’
The touching exchange between father and son highlights a generational shift in the monarchy-one where family takes precedence over formality.
