A new brunch spot gearing up to open in one of Birmingham’s coolest neighbourhoods has revealed a launch date as well as a look at its first menu.

The Den is set to open on Stirchley’s Pershore Road, joining a long line of independent bars and restaurants in the area.

It has announced Wednesday, June 4 as its launch date, with plans to open Wednesday to Sunday each week, from 9am until 11pm.

As well as brunch, The Den will be serving up cocktails from the new spot, situated next to fellow independent bar Stir Stores.

Pershore Road is already home to one of the region’s most highly-revered brunch spots, with Caneat a go-to among Michelin Star chefs.

The Den’s new menu is largely classic, with full English breakfasts and breakfast sandwiches, though with some special brunch options that will set it apart from other cafes such as potted shrimp and crab dish.

The menu also features quite a lot of the old-school classic corned beef, with a corned beef hash available as a main as well as corned beef bon bons on the side.

As prices go, the corned beef hash is £14, a bacon, sausage, egg and cheese sandwich will set you back £8.50 and American pancakes are £11.

Childrens meals, including egg on toast, beans on toast, porridge and more, are priced from £3. A cup of tea is £2.75.

Aside from its food menu, The Den has revealed its drinks list, featuring beers on draught and by the can and bottle from some lesser seen breweries such as Nothing Bound and Weekend Project.

A pint of Peroni or Guinness is priced at £5.80. The natural wine list of whites, reds, roses and fizz is priced from £6 a glass.

When The Den was first announced, the owner told BirminghamLive that the venue will have interactive dart boards as well as a sun trap beer garden.

After announcing its open date, Brummies shared their excitement about the new launch.

Shak Clarke commented: “Sounds great, can’t wait!” while The Meat Shack commented: “Ooooh that menu sound goooooood peeps!”
