Those with a spare few million pounds have the rare opportunity to purchase a slice of music history, as Mick Jagger’s former London home is on the market for the first time in 30 years.

Located on the fourth floor of Harley House in Marylebone, directly adjacent to Regent’s Park, the 2,495 sq ft sub-penthouse is currently listed for £5.5 million. Jagger lived here from 1966 until 1968, having taken a lease on the luxury property following the success of the early Rolling Stones songs ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ and ‘Get Off My Cloud’, released in 1965.

During Jagger’s time in Marylebone, the Rolling Stones released two of their most famous hits, ‘Paint It, Black’ (1966) and ‘Ruby Tuesday’ (1967) – and it’s not just Jagger who walked the hallowed halls of Harley House. The apartment also played host to bandmate Keith Richards and singer Marianne Faithfull, who regularly partied here.

Biographer Chris Salewicz revisited the legendary frontman’s time at Harley House in Mick & Keith: Parallel Lines, published in 2003, telling the story of newfound wealth, ambition, sex and drugs.

Now, the four-bedroom property is up for grabs. The new owners can look forward to a sprawling home with a grand entrance hall and two interconnecting reception rooms, which include a drawing room and separate dining room. Both feature parquet flooring and French windows opening onto a balcony that runs the entire width of the penthouse.

Adjacent to the dining room, the contemporary kitchen features a range of integrated appliances, extensive built-in cabinetry, white stone slab flooring and a central island. The principal bedroom suite, formerly Jagger’s bedroom, has a large bay window and a spacious dressing area with built-in wardrobes, and a main bathroom with a freestanding tub, double vanity unit and a walk-in shower.

The property is available via joint sole selling agents Beauchamp Estates and Prime London.
