It is on Monday’s (May 19) that the ITV soap kicks off a special week of episodes following the stories of both DC Kit Green and Craig Tinker. This week, viewers will uncover the secrets surrounding Mick’s hold on Kit as his past comes back to haunt him, leaving both his friends and family in grave danger.

And while a series of climactic events unfold on the street, culminating in a shocking and horrific incident, we’ll see Craig’s life hanging in the balance as he fights for every breath. As history catches up with him, will Kit’s future be destined to haunt him forever as well as his past?

During the first trip of the week to Weatherfield, Craig was excited as he started a new placement in CID, shadowing Kit despite previous scenes showing the latter trying to put the enthusiastic copper off.

And that wasn’t the only reason who was feeling chipper, as Craig was also making plans for an internet date that evening.

After being largely ignored by Kit all day, a despondent Craig tells DS Lisa Swain that Kit doesn’t rate his work, Lisa urges him to prove Kit wrong.

So, when Craig is called to investigate a disturbance, he sees his chance of possibly proving himself to Kit for once and for all.

He was seen pulling Mick Michaelis over in his van and wanting to breathalyze him having pursued him under suspicion of him being a drunk driver.

But what he wasn’t prepared for was for Mick to become agressive, spouting his issues with the police following his latest run-in with Kit, having shouted at him down the phone telling him: “Everything is down to you!”

Mick became aggressive as Craig tried to arrest him, and pulled out a baseball bat from his van and before we knew it, Craig was seen bloodied on the floor, with the episode coming to an end before viewers could find out if he’s ok.

It’s already been confirmed that Craig will be left fighting for his life, but will he reover and decide to start a new life away from Weatherfield, or will he lose his life in the line of duty?

Will someone come to Craig’s rescue in time? And if they do, will he survive his devastating injuries?
