“A pretty solid day for the team. We knew that concluding the Championship on day one of the doubleheader weekend would be a long shot, but I think what we achieved as a team today has really built a solid foundation to go into tomorrow’s event.
Felipe had a tough day on this very unique circuit in which most of the grid has had a great deal of experience on. He drove the race that we asked him to and we’re certainly very appreciative of all the efforts that he put in early on to try and help Jake. On the other side of the garage, a second place for Jake is a great result having started fifth. He raced in a really smart way and with the help of the team’s strategy was able to executed a brilliant race.
Going into the next race, sometimes it’s better to be the one that’s hunting than the one that’s being hunted. The pressure is really on Pascal now, but I’m confident that we as a team will rise to the occasion tomorrow and give it our best shot.”
