Ex-model and former French Vogue stylist Caroline Sciamma-Massenet always makes a statement. If that isn’t clear from her Instagram, where she routinely shows off her bold personal wardrobe, it’s certainly easy to see in her punchy London home.
Massenet, who founded her London-based fashion label Skiim Paris in 2016 at age 40, put her own, highly distinctive spin on the Notting Hill townhouse with the help of her friend, interior designer Peter Mikic, Rundell Associates, and McWilliam Studio. Her aesthetic is a mix of Parisienne chic and London cool with a slight retro edge. “I like to mix things that aren’t perfect, different eras of furniture, which I suppose is very London but there’s also a dash of Paris combined,” she told The Times.

Located near Holland Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of West London’s finest boutiques, the Pembridge Gardens pad offers seven bedrooms across about 7,425 square feet of playful yet refined interiors. It appears to strike a perfect balance between form and function, being not only highly decorative but also highly liveable. “Comfort comes first,” she told Tatler. “You have to want to sit in the chair and not find it uncomfortable.” That “chair” could be a plush Brentano gem sofa or pink velvet loveseat, depending on the room.
A foyer with a dramatic chandelier and multicolored artwork by Damien Hirst leads to a reception room with original ceiling crowns, a wood-burning fireplace, and a Loro Piana wallcovering. Further in lies a kitchen with parquet flooring, an Esmeralda marble island, and contrasting brass finishes. Nearby, a skylit room with a glazed pink Italian onyx bar overlooks the garden.

A pink Italian onyx bar sits opposite a mirrored wall that adds visual depth to the room.

The primary suite spans the entire first floor, offering an en suite, study, and dressing room. Five more bedrooms are spread across the second and third floors, while the lower ground is outfitted with a cinema room, wine room, a sitting/games room, a gym, and a plant room. Paved terraces and alfresco dining areas span the landscaped garden outdoors.
