Six pairs of famous fugitives have gone on the run, but only a handful remain. This Tuesday’s (18 August) episode of Celebrity Hunted featured another capture, leaving one half of a duo to fend for themselves as the race continues.
The seventh series of Channel 4’s reality series kicked off with 12 contestants from all corners of the showbiz world. Among them were comedians Laura Smyth and Jen Brister, presenters Sophie Morgan and JJ Chalmers, and entertainers Lucy and Brian Conley.
Joining them and completing the line-up are property experts Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu, and Love Island stars Chris Taylor and Toby Aromolaran.
Celebrities have to remain under the radar for 14 days, while a team of elite Hunters led by Ray Howard attempt to track them down. Although some have managed to narrowly escape capture so far, several fugitives have already seen their time on the run come to an end.

Who was captured in Celebrity Hunted?
Toby Aromolaran and Chris Taylor were determined to prove they had what it takes to stay on the run. However, they made their biggest mistake when they decided to taunt the Hunters at their headquarters, becoming the first duo to be successfully captured.
Episode four began with the Hunters rapidly closing in on Chris, while Toby managed to make a narrow escape. But his second chance was short-lived, with the Hunters eventually tracking Toby down in a residential area.
Although they successfully dodged the Hunters for days, comedians Laura Smyth and Jen Brister were honest about their longing for their families. Jen had notably remained in touch with her partner Chloe and their twin boys, sending them letters to keep them updated on her every move.
But it was eventually this correspondence that led to the pair’s capture. In episode five, Hunters watched the duo leave their York hotel to buy ice cream and jumped on the opportunity to capture them.
Stuart Douglas became the latest celebrity to be captured, after a leg injury slowed him down, while his sister Scarlette was able to escape. The duo had found refuge with a friend in Leeds when they were caught during a phone conversation plotting their escape towards Scotland.
With Stuart captured, Scarlette was left alone to continue the run, and was last seen boarding a coach in North Yorkshire. But will she make it to Scotland?

Who remains on the run?
Scarlette is among a handful of contestants still on the run. Although she is the only fugitive now forced to continue alone, she wasn’t the only celebrity to set their sights on Scotland.
Presenters Sophie Morgan and JJ Chalmers have relied on their networks in order to find safe havens, with their search eventually leading them to Loch Tay.
It was there that the pair were welcomed by Irena and Robin Menzies, the parents of former A Place In The Sun host and JJ’s childhood friend, Danni Menzies. However, Tuesday’s episode ended with the Hunters quickly catching up with them as they planned another escape.
Meanwhile, Lucy and Brian Conley have been a standout pair this season, remaining almost untraceable despite publicly poking fun at the Hunters. This Tuesday, the father-daughter pair were able to find support from broadcaster Gloria Hunniford who hid them in her home.
Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu have also seemingly vanished without a trace. Despite almost being caught in Birmingham and after a discreet stay at Craig Revel Horwood’s home, the Strictly duo have, so far, managed to keep their location hidden from the Hunters.
So far, only seven celebrities remain on the run from the Hunters. But with the Hunters growing more determined each episode, the remaining fugitives will need to tread carefully.
Celebrity Hunted returns to Channel 4 on Monday (24 August) from 9pm.
