The eagerly-awaited big day finally arrived for Leah Barnes and Imran Maalik as they prepared to tie the knot, but their wedding day didn’t go as planned as two major secrets were revealed.
Since returning to the village as a surprise couple earlier this year, Leah and Imran’s relationship has raised several eyebrows. In recent weeks, the cracks have appeared as Leah embarked on an affair with Prince McQueen.

Leela Lomax had already discovered this, and Imran began to suspect that his wife-to-be was hiding something. Despite this, he has also been harbouring secrets of his own as he is seen speaking to a mystery person on the phone.
Monday’s (17 August) episode of the Channel 4 soap ended on a cliffhanger as Leah and Prince were caught kissing on camera, but today’s instalment began with the couple preparing for their big day.
While Imran was getting ready, Leah demanded a word with him, and asked why he had deleted his confession. He shared that he had loved somebody deeply before he met Leah, but that was a thing of the past now.
As Leah later shared an emotional conversation with her father Ste, she got a shock as Prince informed her that Imran hadn’t turned up at the venue. After a frantic search, he eventually arrived, but seemed downbeat.
The ceremony soon got under way, with Leah incorporating Imran’s faith into her vows. He gets offended, however, and reveals that he knows of her affair with Prince. This is why Vicky didn’t attend the ceremony, as she too was aware.
This led to a heated argument, with several parties becoming involved. Ste and James chastised Imran for what they deemed to be a “humiliating” act in regards to Leah, while Donny attempted to confront Prince.

A rageful Imran let slip about Prince’s involvement in the storyline involving Warren Fox, where he believed that he had killed Jenson Cole. Of course, viewers already knew that Jenson was alive and well, and he made an appearance at the wedding.
This stunned everybody in attendance – except Gemma, who was the only person to know that Jenson hadn’t been killed. With various secrets coming out, how will everybody recover from this?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
