The national average asking price for a cottage listing is £675,000, covering 3.09 acres and spending an average of 93 days on the market.
London records the highest average asking price at £1.75 million for properties averaging 9.1 acres and 67 days on the market. For those seeking a more traditional rural setting, the South East’s average stands at £975,000.
Scotland again offers the most competitive pricing, with an average of £320,000 for 7.7 acres, with listings having been on the market for an average of 84 days.
