50 Cent got into the rap game with a plan to get rich or die trying, and even after succeeding, he hasn’t bothered to slow his hustle. While retailers re-lived the 2000s with a sell-out drop of 50’s G-Unit x Reebok G6 retro, 50 didn’t want to miss out on the sales revenue.
At the same time the shoe dropped at retailers like JD Sports and Finish Line, 50 and his team put up a new page on the 50 Cent website previewing an upcoming drop of their own. Not content to match regular sneaker stores with standard retail pairs, 50’s webstore pairs will come signed, with classic early aughts accessories to match.
The waitlist form on 50’s website promises first access to a collection of signed G-Unit x Reebok G6 sneakers and two colorways each of tank tops and sweatbands, bringing the retro drop all the way back to the Wanksta music video.
We don’t have a release date or retail price on the 50 Cent signed G-Unit x Reebok G6 pairs, but with the waitlist sign-up live now, we’re expecting the drop to follow soon. To keep up with all the latest from Reebok’s G-Unit sneaker revival, download the Sole Retriever App.
